Whoever said wind turbines litter the landscape?Energy Plant

This 3-D image won first prize at the AWEA wind power conference recently in Pittsburgh.

“While making this piece, I intended to show the beauty of renewable energy sources,” said creator Aleksandar Rodic.

I love this image! Some friends of mine are actually planning to create a wind turbine farm on their land. I’m sending them this pic as inspiration! Thanks much for posting it along with the link to Rodic.

    You bet, Ronnie Ann,

I actually found this at ecogeek.org

I’m kind of an ecogeek myself so I love that site.

Thanks for the visit and taking time to comment!

And now thanks for telling us about Ecogeek. I once worked for the NRDC and am an an ecogeek myself to some extent. Great blogroll there too! Much thanks.

    Your welcome Ronnie Ann,
I like to think I visit some cool sites. I’m think I’m gonna have to reinstate my blogroll.
Thanks again for stopping. I stopped by both your blogs. You do a nice job there. I like you’re voice.

Maybe we should start painting our turbines green… Great picture!

    Hi Herman,

Actually, as we were driving though Sweden last summer, many of their wind turbines were painted a darker green near the bottom, a lighter shade in the middle and then white for the highest third. The idea was obviously to try to blend them into the landscape a bit more. I think it did a little bit. It was a neat idea.

First of all, thank you very much for putting me on your blogroll! Could I trouble you to change the description slightly to label it The Uncanny Broadcasting Brain Blog (same URL)?

I like the wind power image! Like your blog as well!

    Regards,

    Mark Dykeman

    Mark,

Done. Sorry about that. Been a bit lazy lately, but still always on the lookout for great content to link to.

I think your strategy of submitting articles is interesting–I’m wondering if you are gaining much traffic through it.

My blog? Meh. It’s actually a bit lame lately. Struggling to find time enough to write quality content. Resisting the urge to link and regurgitate other’s stuff. But I liked this image so much I couldn’t help myself.

Anyway . . .nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by.

    Chris
