    Chris,

I read your students persuasive writing on the web and it was awesome. I am writing a book on how to teach persuasive writing (aimed at teachers in grades 3-6) and would love to ask you if you would want to ask your students to write some samples for me. If they send samples I would send them a release from the publisher. (Their parents would need to sign the release). I realize that in this day and age of weirdos on the internet you might be reluctant to do this. For security reasons I would not even want their addresses or even names if you are uncomfortable with this. You could just send a few samples via e -mail and I would send you the release forms via e -mail too. I might even be able to use the ones you have on the net now but I wanted something just a bit more serious. ( Maybe for a product, but not related to Halloween). You are obviously a great teacher and this could be a great opportunity for your students. Anyway, ask your principal or admins and let me know your thoughts. Alternatively you could give parents my e -mail address and ask them to e -mail me if they are interested in writing.

Call or e -mail. I will send my resume and whatever else you want. I live in a suburb of Atlanta – if your school is within driving distance I would drive to meet you if you wanted.
