Hi! Since you are a teacher do you know good things activities for kids to learn about the brain? We made a website me and my brother Bo Erik and we like to do a lot of stuff on the brain. Some of our teachers don’t like to teach us about the brain but we are trying to change that. Do you have good ideas for that since you’re a teacher?

Dear Mr. Wondra:
Thank you for your blog. I am working on a case for a couple who were scammed by the DirectBuy in Long Beach / Signal Hill.
I have been reading the numerous responses you have received from other bloggers and let the couple know they are not alone in being deceived.
Did you ever have any luck resolving your DirectBuy dispute or has anyone started a class action lawsuit?
Let me know.
Thanks,
Susan
Hi Susan,
I’m glad you are enjoying the blog and the comments. If you had read my post, however, you’d know that I never had a dispute with DB.

Had a friend contact me about Primerica and I have always been leary of them. Do you have anything else to share about them

I walked out of a DB presentation today. We were watching the sales video and my heart started pounding and I felt nauseous. It just felt like a huge scam and I had to get out of there.
It was so high pressure !! If It was so good - I was thinking — wouldn’t they just give you the facts and let you made a decision ‘like an adult’?? They were talking to us like we were idiots !!
I was so dissappointed; I wanted it to be good.

What if Jud does NOT! like me?
I ‘ve tried to ask several questions and it does not want to answer me correctly everytime I ask a appropiate question it gives my negative answers like….. ” Don’t waste my time,” “I will not answer you” ” Don’t ask me, let someone else ask”….

I read your information about Primerica and really appreciated it. My husband & I are currently going through the same thing and that is how I stumble upon your article. We are especially concerned considering the countries current financial status. We look forward to visiting your page in the future again.

Chris!
I can’t tell you how good it is to see you banging the keys again! I was starting to worry, but I kept telling myself you were just enjoying your summer.
I’d love to catch up any time. Drop me a line when you can.
Will do Darren,
Good to hear from you again too!

Hey, Chris!
Did you ever get around to reading A Wish in Time?
I have another book out–Creme Brulee Upset. Christmas is coming. Think: “Gift idea for Lisa.”

Chris,
Found your site quite by accident, which is the coolest accident that’s happened for too long. (Actually, was searching info re: DirectBuy for some home projects; thanks for sharing your info. and sources of info. Very helpful.)
I don’t do lotsa web-time, so it’s quality time is of the essence.
Wandering around in your realm has been a worthwhile, entertaining, interesting and informative trip.
As long as you keep wondering and figuring “it” out aloud, I’ll keep listening, when possible. Hope your website serves as much satisfaction to you as you provide to us, “out-here.”
VTY, Gwen
Post Script: Gotta clue to yr missing, Wow-factor, link; You!
Thanks Gwen,
That was so nice! I’m actually just getting back into the swing of things again. My history has been kind of start and stop with this blog. Thanks for the encouragement.
Chris

Chris,
(Believe it or not, there aren’t enough hrs. in a day for me…) Your blog is addictive, already. I happened upon it, spent some time visiting, then signed off to actually get some work done, but find myself back on again.
You have, “it!” LOL!! Your trials, tribulations and triumphs are appreciated. Because you have the wherewithal to organize your life to share them with your unique sense of humor is priceless.
So, no, thank YOU.
I’ve added you to my favorites and unlike anything else I’ve known, I’m gonna have to monitor “Use.”
How ever you approach your blog, whenever you manage (how do you find any time?) to swing, please know that your, “stepping-up to the plate,” is significant.
-Wishing you the best in all your endeavors! I look forward to sharing some with you through your blog.
Sincerely,
Gwen
Hi Gwen,
I’m very much looking forward to getting to know you! Thanks again for your kind words. Please do stop back and leave some of your thoughts.

Just wondering, are you still happy with your decision to go with Primerica?
I appreciate all the information you provided–it was SO helpful.
Thanks

hey chris,
im not sure how i came about your page… i think it was when i was reasearching the Peter answers website and how it works (A couple friends had told me it knew a lot of information about them and said creepy things). Well i was very intrested on what you had to say about it and was wondering if you found out who john was, because i tried the whole period at the begining thing and it worked but john answered. have you found out any new information on this?

Hey Chris, Thanks for your honest comments about Primerica. They helped me out with a SMART loan so much that I am helping other famalies part-time. It is a wonderful opportunity. If you have any questions about the simple interest or life insurance or mutual funds, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me. Take care, Keith Parker

Chris,
I accidentally found your site when looking for info on Direct Buy. What great source , but unfortunately a bit late since I joined back in Jan. 2009. Very, very dissatisfied and of course cannot get monies refunded. Do you know of a Class Action suit or how I can find out about one? I am not very good on this internet searches. Thanks!

Hi, I just read your boxelder bug piece and I just wanted to give some friendly advise. If you have a tree or a side of a house that is covered in them, if you spray them with water with dish soap in it, they will die!! We used to have to do this in our old house because they were literally EVERYWHERE. Good luck!
22 Enlightened one // Aug 21, 2009 at 9:53 pm
Hey Chris, What’s up with Direct Buy lately. Did you know they have closed like over 20 stores and more are on the way. So what’s going to happen to all those members who paid $4500 for a membership. Poof it’s gone.
